Do I think that makes sense, especially when you already have mechanics like the "Lantern 50% Refresh" Talent that resets at Witch Stones? Not particularly, but it's also not the strangest design decision Mandragora has.
I'm not debating with you on whether the ability's design make sense or not. I'm just explaining to you how it works, as per written in the talent screen. If you want to use that as an excuse to attack others, then maybe you should reflect a little.
Dude, the ability works as the description says it should, every 300 seconds.
Its intended purpose is not to save you from death "once per boss fight", or the ability would just state that and work that way, that's just something you're inferring.
Furthermore, should the fight drag for more than 5 minutes, you could benefit from the ability multiple times.
Its purpose is to save you from death every 5 minutes, as the tooltip says, be it in a bossfight or against regular mobs.
If abilities with a cooldown were intended to work once per fight (or bossfight) their CDs would be aligned to what the devs deemed a fight should last.
They aren't (i.e. divine intervention, for example, has a 3.5 minutes long CD, while Netherwalk has a 3 minutes CD).
Whether or not it would be sensible for CDs to reset on death is another matter entirely, and would be a reasonable suggestion and QoL feature.
But, as the ability works exactly as the tooltip says currently, this is not a bug.
