Patch 1.5: Another Phoenix Bug
The Phoenix Skill does not reset when dying. I am fighting the final boss and only get revived every now and then. I guess that is not the intended way.

It has a cooldown. It does not reset when you die. Not a bug.
Oh, I know it has a cooldown but I would expect it to reset when dying! So, yes, bug!

You're expectations are wrong. It's intended to cool down over time not instantly reset.

You should read the description of the ability. It only revives you every 500 seconds or something like that. You know you have that revive if you see the icon active next to your health bar.
So you think it makes sense to wait 500 secs between fights for an ability to reactivate? Interesting.

As far as I am aware, that is the "intended" implementation.
Do I think that makes sense, especially when you already have mechanics like the "Lantern 50% Refresh" Talent that resets at Witch Stones? Not particularly, but it's also not the strangest design decision Mandragora has.

I'm not debating with you on whether the ability's design make sense or not. I'm just explaining to you how it works, as per written in the talent screen. If you want to use that as an excuse to attack others, then maybe you should reflect a little.
I am not attacking anyone. But I am capable of reading. I know there is a cooldown as I have clearly stated. The reason for it is to prevent the ability to trigger more than once in a boss fight. But in the current state the cooldown prevents the ability to go off at all. That is mainly because the distance to the boss has been shortened by the addition of a closer respawn point. So the cooldown does not work as intended. And that is what you call a bug.

Dude, the ability works as the description says it should, every 300 seconds.
Its intended purpose is not to save you from death "once per boss fight", or the ability would just state that and work that way, that's just something you're inferring.
Furthermore, should the fight drag for more than 5 minutes, you could benefit from the ability multiple times.
Its purpose is to save you from death every 5 minutes, as the tooltip says, be it in a bossfight or against regular mobs.
If abilities with a cooldown were intended to work once per fight (or bossfight) their CDs would be aligned to what the devs deemed a fight should last.
They aren't (i.e. divine intervention, for example, has a 3.5 minutes long CD, while Netherwalk has a 3 minutes CD).
Whether or not it would be sensible for CDs to reset on death is another matter entirely, and would be a reasonable suggestion and QoL feature.
But, as the ability works exactly as the tooltip says currently, this is not a bug.
