I put 125 hrs into it, playing the rogue build daggers only. There are 5 other specs I've never even seen, so I'll likely play again. You can also use pretty much whatever armor or weapons you want, but you have to work around some limitations, such as getting used to slower dodges or attacks. Some negative reviews were day one complaints, but they have fixed nearly everything bad about the game. There are a couple of things to still work on, but it's certainly playable now.

Many of the initially bad reviews are because of the publisher's EULA shenanigans, which has been addressed afaik.

However, there is a valid criticism that is still true, that being the crafting system. In other metroidvanias, or rpgs for that matter, when you find a secret area with a chest, you can expect it to have some item you can use right away. In this game you will typically find a recipe to an item, which the relevant crafter you will need to level up first by having him craft some random items you likely won't be using. There's still a good number of items you can buy from vendors and drop from monsters, and a few you can actually find, but crafting is much more ingrained into the design than similar games.

Something that is also not in the demo is the non-optional other-dimension platforming sections that become progressively more intense, which players found frustrating initially. However, they have been toned down with updates. Most other issues have also been fixed or at least toned down.

That said, if you liked the demo there's a good chance you will like the full game.

Most of the bad reviews are from players who don't know what they're doing and choose not to read. The game has so much information and yet players choose to ignore the tools that the devs have provided for us to win. 200 plus hours in the game is amazing. Like the other said most of the bugs have been fixed and a bunch of balance changes have been made to help out less fortunate players. It's absolutely a must buy if your metroidvania fan.
Thanks for the responses, I’m happy about the replayability of this game, will for sure be buying :suzuko1:
Put around 5 hours so far, really fun and challenging. Happy I bought it :yella_excited:
