Mining outpost: Why no savepoint?
I am really fed up by now. Gaming is supposed to be fun! Why do I have to run from the sewers through the whole forest and then there is still no save point when reaching the mining outpost. I ran through it, ignoring all enemies - no save point to be found. Devs you claim to have played your own game. Why do you not realize such things??

The Forsaken Mines has 3 shortcuts via the old mineshaft;
- 1 to the surface part of the Mine
- 1 to the underground part of the Mine
- 1 portal to just before the boss
Make sure to rush towards the right in order to open those up and skip going through the forest.

I am confused. Just looked at Demajen's Map. It shows only one savepoint (The Blood Tree) beyond West Wickham Sewers.

Once you get to the deadly pair of windmills (the worst section in the game so far), once you manage to get on the last windmill, rather than dropping off at the ledge at the bottom, wait to get off at the ledge at the top, there it gives you a shortcut to the portal close to the boss. I only found this out after defeating the boss. Beware, the windmills are one of the most frustrating platforms even worse than entropy, since you die if you touch it wrong by a pixel, the second place where I almost gave up on the game, just never want to return to these ever again.

Oh blo... hell, you die when you touch the mills platforms from below and you don't grab them if you miss. Thanx for the hint with the portal!

In case you didn't know, before entering the mining area, if you go to the right and jump through some platforms to the top right of the map, it will lead you to an elevator that will open the door to the sewer save point. will save you some time going to the mining area instead of through the forest area again.

I do not recall any "deadly pair of windmills" but if it is a trap, do note, that shield and minor shield potions takes one hit for you, even from traps.

It won't matter in this case since you'll fall. It's true that things about the water mills don't make sense. If you hit any part of the platforms other than the top, you'll take damage as if your poise got broken mid-air and fall. They're the only platform that does this afaik. Even thorned platforms don't do this.
Hated this area of the game too. Horrible level design.
