Another stupid undodgable attack
Darkfire demon, battering ram. Any chance of dodging unless standing directly in front of him? Why, devs, why?

It has a recognizable wind-up animation. Once you see it preparing the charge, get ready to double jump over it.
It could be a hitbox issue. I always take damage in situations that visually looked like I avoided them.

Agreed. Because you can dodge when standing directly in front of him but not when he is runnig towards you. And I hate being forced to do a double jump when dodging clearly is a possibility.
its literally designed for your newly acquired double jump....

Yeah, Darkfire isn't too bad, the telegraphing is good.
The I-frame-piercing attack I hate is the sickle throw the Sleepwalker does, that
a) I don't think any other similar projectile pierces I-frames (not counting the wall of them the final boss makes)
b) either you dodge behind and maybe get hit on the initial swing, or stand in front and the timing to jump through them is super awkward.

Ok, that makes sense. But then they should maybe remove the possibility to dodge when the attack starts. That is what confused me.

Well I just beat the Sleepwalker and consider her one of the easiest bosses. The sickle throw was easy to double jump and then dodge behind her.

Well there are some telegraphs you know. Like... setting the ground on fire when it charges in? That should've told you that rolling through isn't that good of an idea. If these kinda cues are something you failed to pick up, you're gonna have a rough time with the final boss mate.

All in all, don't get complacent; observe and make use of all your toolset!

♥♥♥♥ I totally forgot I have double jump. might have made him not so annoying.
I am way to focused on dodging and tried to dodge through the flame pillars (doesn't work without damage) and his ram.

yeah jumping over it might have saved me a little anger. I was basicially hugging him and only attacking from behind.

Tbh I still think it's BS that some attacks can't be dodged through.

I would blame other games for that. As I play the souls series a lot it's logicially to me to just dodge through attacks. doesn't matter that there is a little fire. my past experiences tell me to dodge not jump

I get that it's not entirely the games fault but then at least don't make that attack an one hit (or almost one-hit)

still kinda ... BS that the dodge - a move to evade damage - just doesn't work.

Maybe thats just me but I dislike when only 1 option is right. Tbf if I remember correctly you couldn't dodge through fire pillars in the whole game so not being invincable to his is fine.

but I could dodge to almost every other attack. so seeing a charge and dodging perfectly just not before the move and still instantly dying feels kinda ♥♥♥♥.
tbh one hit attacks in general feel ♥♥♥♥
