Guns of Fury might be fun - its a mix of run'n'gun game and metroidvania.

Death’s Gambit might offer the same expirience, but sometimes may be really frustrating

If you like Dead Cells - check out Oblivion Override, beatiful and fast paced action rogue-like metroidvania.

9 years is not a bad game, but really awkward, yet recently it recivied a good QoL patch after more then a year.

Skelthrone and Last Faith might be worth to try

GRIME has some different build potential as well, but it does have some platforming and is very parry-centric (the tutorial makes you learn parry before teaching you how to attack), if that is a turn-off.

Says can adjust difficulty, so thats a plus for me
Vigil and Bloodstained are also quite good. I'd recommend them.
Blasphemous is interesting, but pretty difficult. I'd say judge for yourself upon the reviews.
Salt and Sanctuary is overrated. If i'm not mistaken, it was the first of it's kind (2D Soulslike) - and therefore defining a new genre. I guess that's why it has fame. Gameplay although is meh ...

Many of the ones people mentioned are garbaje (like bloodstained, decent graphics but the rest.. oh my). Others like dead cells are similar but they are more platform focused than anything else (and people playing soul games usually dont like platform puzzles in em for obvious reasons). Grime is a great game talking about graphics and combat, but very very frustrating for the limited travelling options. I gave up on it because of this.
And why people are recommending RPG games?? jeeezus. I wish people could stick to the op question instead rushing into just recommend every frikkin game they like...
I'm assuming you mean the Nerveways GRIME has? A later QoL update made a mid-game boss unlock teleporting between bonfires, so maybe give it another chance if that was you major gripe?
... The OP asked "any similar games" to Mandragora, which has levels, stats, and a full set of equipment slots. Are you complaining that people are recommending things with levels, stats, and equipment?
