I've done the steam room, I did the other care taker, I've been to the lab, but I cannot figure out how to actually get to the top of the tower where Auberon is. I even got the key for the kickstarter tomb...

Can you show me on the map? I don't know what checkpoint you're talking about. The only spot near the upper checkpoint is what looks like a double jump spot, but I don't have double jump.

I believe its a door or something next to the upper Quarters waypoint, when you go in the door there is 1 enemy and a elevator. The elevator goes straight up to the top.

Hey, in the steam room there is 3 levers which will allow you to unlock the two switch the three library ladders when used. After that there is another room further back to where we started the castle which unlocks elevator which was initially blocked.
