Stuck in Lochmui Village

Hi everyone, I'm stuck in Lochmui Village. I opened the shortcut to the rest spot, then continued up the ladders until the bit that seems to go back to Lchmuir Road, but a door shuts the way. I believe I explored the level thoroughly, but other areas required the grappling hook to proceed, which I don't have. I did the haunted house, but there's not much else. Anyway, any idea how to proceed?

You need to go to all the way to the top of the village, there is a lofty spot up there and talk to the lady to the left of the tower. She will give you the mission you need.

No idea what that woman is) i found a girl who asks me 2 help rescue her father but thats it. No people. only creatures))

Billie, for the haunted house, there's a wheel in the water that you need to turn for a few seconds, but if you do that carelessly, a monster snatches you and kills you. You have to bait the monster far enough for you to be able to turn the wheel. Jump in the water and exit immediately, and pay attention to the ripples; that's the monster waiting for you.

I found a way to proceed. From the Lochmuir Village resting spot, take the door to the left and enter the "East Side". Take the ladder down and enter "West Side". Go down until you see a skeleton with a crossbow, you want to go to the right, and spot a blob on a platform. You want to continue past the blob. Careful! There's an invisible enemy that hurts very hard, you can only see the glowing red eyes. If it's too much for you, pass it and take the ladder down. There's the big rat again, it drops a key.

I got the key, but forgot which door it unlocks...

Get the key from the day like olvlvl said and then go to the topmost area above the tower, open the big door and proceed, eventually there you'll get a quest and completing that will get you the grappling hook.

I just went back to the game and walked around. Could you be a little more specific on how to go to the "topmost" area? Also I don't know where is the tower or the area above it yet

I just went back to the game and walked around. Could you be a little more specific on how to go to the "topmost" area? Also I don't know where is the tower or the area above it yet

go to the 2nd spawn point, go left through the doors you have to open from the right side. There should be some grips to climb up with a skeleton crossbowman on the platform above. Go this way to continue up.
