However with the 2 weapon set up and quick swapping between the your two active weapons you can still make some pretty awesome builds.
mmm thanks for that info... very usefull
hate those lazy devs who lock skills on certain weapons
dont get me wrong
there is a difference
- between X weapon has Y skills
and
- Y skills require X type of weapons
Sword has these skills = bad
Cleave can be used with Swords and axes = good
Its actually the second type. Using astral magic requires an astral focus. Fire skills require fire crystals, and so one and so forth. Although, apparently, some skills can be upgrades to not require the focus sometimes.
As far as I know, all melee weapons can use any melee skill. But I'm not really sure yet
Diversity is King

♥♥♥♥ limitations, give options
Early game is pretty basic in terms of skill/playstyle customization but once you dive into the passive trees you can make some crazy fun builds.
For example I am doing a Vanguard/Flame Weaver synergy build. As my builds is now any enemy burned generates mana (most of my gear focuses on burn chance), so I can cast fire wall to have nearly infinite mana. This means that I can build up that weapon ability super fast. My current build has too many active an passive skills for be to even begin to explain my attack/skill rotations.
The key to build synergies in this game is understanding that you can have 2 weapons at one time and you can instant swap mid combo to any one you want, so you can synergize spells and abilities together pretty well.
The more I dive into the skill trees, weapon swap system, passives/active skills, the ore potential I see of interesting and powerful class combinations.
Thanks
