I just played demo (very fun game) but I will say It didn’t say female or male from what I saw it just had like two different body’s to pick from so yeah it’s type a/b without saying it, the game is legit good but within the first few opening min your met by a GIGANTIC black female supposedly but she has a jaw greater than any ork in warhammer, to me that was very jarring and offputting. I long for a time where the women in games didn’t look two times my size and more muscular.

Yea, I have to be honest, that wokejaw lady made a weird first impression on me too.

This game is fun to play, but I'm really tired of activist developers that do this sort of thing to promote a highly ideological, fact adverse interpretation of reality.

But I don't know, I don't want to judge a studio by one weird character picture. The gameplay is actually fun.

I must admit that these ideology forced decisions are the shenanigans which made me think thrice before purchasing.. I did preorder since I want to support the project and I very rarely do.

I was interested in the game since 2 years ago when Splattercat showcased it but I'm very much opposed to "type A / type B" bodytypes and such which treat biological Sex like some kind of diabetes. I'm not exactly a fan of.. how should I put this delicately.. "Human character designs" which have sociopolitical flavors in them, since it just damages suspension of disbelief. As unfortunate as it can be, its not always creators who get to decide what kind of designs audience allow to get suspended.. and these "male bulky female" character types tend to not be in favor of the masses who purchase the game. Nowdays people just quickly check a review video and make swift decision will they buy or not, no second chances.

Would it be possible to create an options setting which allows players to set them to either male/female etc. or more.. "correct by.. standards of more picky groups".

I will say that there is a huge problem with dialog. It's gigantic. We play as an inquisitor and we serve the king. And the characters talk to us like we're some wandering cigan. Merchants talk to us dismissively and join us just as dismissively. Guards and all sorts of rabble socialize the same way. It's such a Ludonarrative dissonance. Other than the Polish Inquisitor game, we don't play anything similar anywhere else in history.

Jesus, someone's writing this game. I'm going to look for that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the credits and see what else he wrote. I saw Mitsoda mentioned, but I don't think he wrote the whole plot.
