We’ve received a lot of feedback over the last few weeks about the potential inclusion of additional DRM in the launch version of Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree. We hear you, we get it, and we wanted to let you know:

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree will be released on Steam and Epic Games Store without any additional DRM solutions.

Our amazing community has been critical to Mandragora’s development since our beginnings here on Kickstarter, right up to the eve of our launch on PC and consoles. As always, your support means the world to us and our publisher Knights Peak. We want to deliver the experience you expect and deserve—with no extra frills.

Thank you for speaking up, and for your patience as we worked to make this happen, Inquisitors.

We hope you’re looking forward to playing Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree on April 17!"

THANK YOU for listening us guys, Primal is are INCREDIBLE, AMAZING, SENSATIONAL!

I do not get the praise for the devs.

They knew players would not take fomo tactics and Denuvo well. They went with it anyway.

How do you know the devs were resposible for the malware?

Imo these are usually publishers or worse, people in suits who dont play games and are easily convinced this crap is good for business.

Maybe they put the pressure to remove this sh-it, even if they were responsible, they came around, and thats not something we see everyday here on steam, so yes, they deserve praise.

We praise them for recognizing their mistake, not because they "did it for us" or any such nonsense. In the same way you cheer on a child for hitting the tee-ball off its stand, you applaud a group that realized "hey, this thing is giving us a bad image, and we want a good image before launch. what can we do to ensure we make money?" and thus, the demon has been sent away.

Bravo. No gold stars here, but you get a  from most gamers.

Had not even heard of this game. Found out about it through someone posting about the Denuvo removal on the Atomfall board discussion about Denuvo. Came over here, looked at it a bit and discovered it seems like a game I am interested in. Finding out they made the correct move to ditch Denuvo puts it on my eligible to buy list. Correct business practices that need to be rewarded by consumers acting and spending their money with principle instead of the brainwashed herd of imbeciles who inexplicably bleat and moo in defense of an anti consumer practice like Denuvo. If the game is not a mess upon release, you got a sale. I can spend the money that was going to Atomfall somewhere else, since I did not waste any on that. :)

Just played the demo for a while...liked it a lot. Definitely a buy now for me.
