Steam Deck?

Will it be playable/optimized for steam deck? I’d love to pre-purchase, but not if there’s no work currently to adapt it to that system.

Someone found this on Reddit: Switch to desktop mode, launch the game, and set the frames per second to 60.
It works for me.

Try setting the proton version manually. Sometimes (rarely), a proton version isn't set properly and it defaults to steamplay, which may not work. I've seen the trick with desktop mode working and then switching to game mode, but you have to make sure you test that after powering the steam deck off/back on, to make sure that it persists in working.

There’s another thread where it’s several users with this issue. Not sure what else to do but nothing works. Frustrating.

The game worked perfectly, when I played it the first time on the Deck. Next time I loaded the game, I also just get stuck on a black screen. Gonna try to re-install the game, and see if that works.

After waiting at the black screen, I got a crash report, which I clicked "send and close".
Let's hope they see this.
There wasn't any info on what was the cause of the crash.

Good that you got a crash report. I let it sit and never got one. Hopefully that will help them fix this. Sad I paid for early access and couldn't play due to this issue...

Black screen as well. I am able to start it in desktop mode but then I am stuck when entering the characters name since virtual keyboard does not come up and also can not be triggered via usual SD shortcut .
