Note that this was from a year ago, so the game may be already supporting Steam Deck in its preview 1 or soon-to-launch preview 2 build.

Denuvo is going to play havoc with the Steam Deck's offline mode. I'm not sure if it's the version of denuvo in use, but the one in Persona 5 Royal somehow manages to see up to (5) different machine ID's from the Steam Deck (I tested this on both LCD and OLED), that change randomly on every cold boot, and when the machine ID changes, denuvo will delete the 'invalid' token and use an activation to get a new one. And if you are in offline mode (like, on the Space Station for example), it will delete the token and then ask you to go online for 1st time run, thus locking you out. (there is a workaround for this, involving setting the token to "read only", which will force denuvo to get a new token in an "Alternate" folder, and then setting THAT one also to read only, after the game launches with it, then you have two (of 5) chances for the machine ID to match one of the two tokens next boot, without them being deleted (if neither one matches that boot, the game will just exit).
This issue doesn't happen if you are running windows on the Steam Deck, so it's an issue with SteamOS and some low level interaction denuvo identifies.
I will wait till denuvo is removed from the game after the first release month.
There is no Denuvo in the game.
And the game works on Steam Deck, lot of people are playing it on Deck. I have been trying to help you in various threads, but I think you should contact Steam support, as the game itself is working, so it might be something with your particular Deck.
