HELP Where is the Crossbow?

So I'm stuck in chapter 5 trying to get the orb off the ceiling and I don't have the crossbow? Where is it? Am I completely boned? I've tried everything else at my disposal and can't reach it.

Hmmm, you may have tried this, but is it possible to do it with the bow or flame bow while jumping right as they go off? It seems like a serious problem if the chapter literally can't be cleared without an arena reward. If so, though unfortunately, you'd have to load a save from back in Rispadar and redo the first part of ch5 after getting it.

I tried the flame bow, I can't jump high enough to get up there. I tried the boomerang a bunch as well, but maybe I just didn't get the hit box just right. I'll try that again tonight.

I don't have a save back in Rispadar, so if I'm really stuck I'll have to start a new game.

You could try double-jumping, using the boomerang as you begin your second jump in order to account for the wind-up. Also try using the upwards slash instead of the first jump, in my experience this helped me gain more height (also, the Flurry Slash Up-Attack midair helps)

If the boomerang doesn't work, you could aso try double-jumping and throwing your weapon upwards. Also, maybe you could hit it with one of your staffs' magic projectiles

To add to this, you could also try using the Hero Party's archer's bow, IIRC the arrows arc slightly upwards (you could try disassembling the bow to return it to its original form first)

This was the winner! I never knew magic projectiles worked for this. You're a lifesaver.
