Stuck in Demon's Castle

I need help, I am in the Demon's Castle, and it says GO TO BACK OF CASTLE. I went to the back, killed the boss, and after the dialogue, I went to the right, outside, and killed another boss, and went back in the people that were standing there were gone. So I didn't complete the puzzle and the save point at the elevators, they are not open, but I did kill two bosses at the back of the Castle? Thanks!

After winning, you will get an ancient key.
From the elevator hall, go left, take the upper path, and use the key to proceed.
Insert the three balls into the holes in the door to open the way.

red ball
After talking with Prada (a woman in a robe) several times in the room where the heroes are resting, examine the apples and obtain the royal castle apples.
After using it in front of Prada and feeding it, give it to everyone else as well.
Finally found in a basket with missing apples.
By the way, you don't necessarily have to feed all the apples, and once you've fed three people, you can get the red ball,
Surplus apples can be used for LIBRA. In addition, you can get one apple later with a gacha, so there is no problem if everyone eats it.
green ball
It hangs on the ceiling near the castle entrance, so shoot it down with a bowgun. You can get a hint from Levi's.
blue ball
In the room where the heroes are resting, attack and destroy the statue with glowing blue eyes.

I have a follow up question about the Castle. I have a bow and arrow that I got from an old man, but I do not have the crossbow. In the Castle there is a green ball hanging from the ceiling and I have seen people knock it down with the cross and with the mages wand, which I do have, however, it doesn't come down for me. Is there any way of getting the ball down off the ceiling without something that shoots straight up?

Thank you for your help! I am just not getting it, it is frustrating 25 hours in, feeling forced to quit. I am not sure if I am not doing something right, but with the old school bow, I can't jump, when I hit the action button, the arrows will not go off until I am on the ground and even then, they don't go far. I had also tried the boomerang but it didn't go high enough.

I feel like it might be my fault, it would seem obvious, that if you had to absolutely have a crossbow, that they would have given you one before this level, but I am out of ideas? Thanks again for everyone's input!!

I think it still might be possible to get the orb with the boomerang. I went back to the room with the orb and stood at the candelabra to the left, then jumped, throwing the boomerang at the highest point of the jump - the boomerang faded away when it hit where the orb was, meaning the hitbox is still there and it may work.
