Don't go in expecting the same size, story and variety of maps as the main game though—it is a pretty simple loop of diving down into the cave collecting FORCE, crafting items and other things, and then warping back to town to upgrade/buy things. Then it's back down into the cave to get deeper and deeper.
You go to the cave, fight enemies, collect Force for GROW, collect materials for Equipment.
As you progress, you also try to go deeper until you hit the boss floor, progress story, and so on.
There are some QoLs in there, like some less UI delay, faster mining animation, better Shop interactions.
Magic stats also scale better than base game which mean Ranged weapons are also stronger too along with Skills.
I think this game encourage crafting for food healing than base game too, where back then we mostly heal with save point, and stock a bunch of seeds and fruits. Fit the theme of being The Baker's Daughter I suppose.
It's a fun experience for sure, it worth a shot.
