Chapter 5 Mirror Puzzle

I feel at a complete loss with this one. I tried a number of combinations but I cannot get the door opened here. I can't recall what they said before having the option to move them. I've tried various orders to no luck. The mirrors don't really seem to react.

Should I do another lap of the castle ? None of what they're saying seems to help either.

I've tried (spoilers for the heck of it I guess)

Hair Color - Gau, Plada, Edwin, Levis
Hair Color - Gau, Edwin, Hero, Levis
Hair Color - Gau, Edwin, Plada, Levis

Join Order - Gau, Levis, Plada, Edwin
Legend Order - Edwin, Plada, Levis, Gau
Death Order - Gau, Levis, Plada, Edwin
Death Order - Gau, Levis, Edwin, Plada
Clothing [which was a stretch]

and some other combinations I can't quite recall..

Hair color is correct. Try Gau, Plada, Hero, Levis.

I was stuck on this last night and I'm glad I wasn't the only one. I didn't realize the Hero was part of the mirror rotation.

You have to do that order, standing on the third spot, while hitting the switch (boomerang, etc.).
