Any word on what the devs are doing now?
Are they working on a new game? Some more DLC? Or were they 1-hit wonders and don't plan on making anymore games?

KEIZO has concluded game development last I heard, from October 2024, with Gaiden's release on Switch.

It's been about 20 years since I first started making this game... Thank you so much for playing this unknown game made by an amateur 😭 This will be my final greeting as a creator 🙇 This marks the end of my work in this life, but I hope to see you again in the next life 👋

I have been asked many times about the reason for my retirement, so I will explain. If I were to create something on the same scale as what I have spent the last 20 years creating, I probably won't be alive in 20 years' time, and I am already old and don't have the energy to do it. I have been asked many times if there will be a sequel, so I decided to properly announce the end of my career.

Since I'm working on it alone, it would be physically impossible to make a sequel on the scale that it deserves, so I also wanted to be free from the discomfort of having strange hopes that there might be a sequel.
Well that is pretty cut and dry then. I don't suppose he'll pass on the torch either.

A shame, but of course it is his choice to retire.

the dev has made more than just this game.
and imo his other games are also worth playing and unique and great.
this just got more exposure cause he went to steam and got western audience too.
Modding support would suffice at least

He said he's feeling like he's getting out of his dev slump recently so who knows; he's been posting small prototype 3d stuff on twitter

I just beat the DLC today and they defs left it open for a sequel...straight up implied that an even greater threat was coming.
