Emelas chest not spawning?

I've read all the guides. Went to Sea Serpent Cave Depths save point, went backwards one room, killed all enemies and objects. No chest, no secret passage, nothing. I tried saving and cleaning the room out again, and got the same result. Is this not how you get the chest?

You're in the wrong room. The kill all enemies chest is in the room after the two layered water room. To get there quickly, warp to the depths, then take the door beside you then the door all the way on the left then just head left.
There is a chest in the room you are at though but it's one of those green arrow chests.
