Weapon handling, swing speed, gross weight, herculean strength and me
Could anyone enlighten me on how these stats correlate with each other?

First I'll start with weapon handling. From what I've noticed higher weapon handling means the weapon can swing faster than others. Is that what this stat means?
Seems like higher handling weapons (3) need lower gross weight to reach their cap as well, around maybe 20-30? Is that correct? While standard handling weapons reach it at 40 or 50 and low handling weapons reach it at 60 from what I've seen?

Next we have gross weight. Some sources say you can keep gross weight at 60 and you will swing fast with every weapon, Others say it's 40. From my testing seems to be 60 for slower weapons and 40 for faster weapons, but I think I've also seem some (maybe the higher handling ones) get benefits at 20 compared to 40. Not sure if anyone has a final answer to this?

And finally, herculean strength. The skill description is misleading in that it says it helps with the minimum swing speed, but actually it helps the maximum swing speed, ie. when the weapon is at it's maximum speed. So anyway, from testing I've noticed that slow weapons that cap at 60 gross weight seem to get a benefit from taking gross weight down to 50, but not more than that (only 10 points). I haven't noticeably perceived much difference from standard 2 weapon handling and 3 weapon handling to using this skill or not but it may perchance benefit them a small amount (?).

All of these conclusions were reached by eyesight so if anyone timed all this and has reached more definite findings It'd be welcome. It's very hard to search for anything in this game online.

-Ridill (Handling 3)
-Claimh Solais (Handling 2)
-Azure Dragon Blade (Handling 1)

First thing I notice already with a Gross Weight of 0 there's a difference, recording the combo and watching the number of frames it takes for the full combo here's what I got :

Handling 3 (Ridill) : 49 Frames
Handling 2 (Claimh Solais) : 63 Frames
Handling 1 (Azure Dragon Blade) : 81 Frames

Now adding Herculean Power (still 0 Gross Weight) :

Handling 3 (Ridill) : 49 Frames
Handling 2 (Claimh Solais) : 62 Frames
Handling 1 (Azure Dragon Blade) : 68 Frames

Now for Gross Weight, first without Herculean Power I've tried by 10 by 10 for each weapon until I noticed a noticeable difference I'll spare all the data but basically :

For Ridill : The difference happened at a Gross Weight of 40 where it went from 49 Frames for the full combo to 57 Frames.

For Claimh Solais : The difference happened at a Gross Weight of 50 where it went from 63 Frames for the full combo to 74 Frames.

For Azure Dragon Blade : The difference happened at a Gross Weight of 60 where it went from 81 Frames for the full combo to 87 Frames.

Now for Gross Weight with Herculean Power the only change is for Azure Dragon Blade who start to get slower when getting a Gross Weight of 50 with 70 Frames instead of 68.

I've also tried to use Ridill and Claim Solais at a Gross Weight of 70 the result are the same at Azure Dragon Bladeof 98 frames for a full combo

So what to make out of this ? Basically :

-The Handling Stat basically determine the cap the attack speed can reach, which is translated by reducing the point at which Gross Weight makes an impact on your attack speed, this also means that pass these caps the attack speed with the same Gross Weight is the same regardless of Handling (ie : with a Gross Weight of 100 for instance, your attack speed will be the same regardless of the Handling of the weapon).

-Herculean Power simply increase the attack speed cap of weapons with an Handling of 1, making it roughly on par with weapons with Handling of 2.

Aha so that's what i had noticed as well. Thanks for testing and for the confirmation!

Also just for clarification in case people wonder how the Libra's Weight Reduction fit in all of this, Libra's Weight Reduction directly affect the Gross Weight not the weapon's weight by a multiplier of 0.9/0.85/0.8/0.75 depending of the tier, they stack multiplicaly meaning stacking all 4 tiers gives a total multiplier of 0.459 or a Gross Weight reduction of 54.1%.... this also mean that if you have an agility high enough to make the Gross Weight at 40 or lower, Libra's Weight Reduction becomes useless.
