Don't worry there is only really one good choice, the rest are just going to be duds.

That said important tip in this

When you are going to administer the medicine to Kuro at the end do so with your lips don't refuse and look for a mortar, this way you acquire the special item. Basically don't pick the shy boy option.

But who's the good choice though? I'm still wondering who to assign.

It matters not, there's only one choice possible that will progress the story (someone who you'd expect to be pure and trustworthy), everyone else will just give you some silly dialogue and that's that.

There is no choice, the "wrong" ones pretty much just play a short joke cutscene and then you look for someone else.
