A question about the missability of this side quest:
Currently in the post-game, is it still possible to complete this sidequest? Or do I need to complete the entire Postscript first before being able to finish this quest?
What do you get for completing the quest? Something good?
Due to a quirk in how post-game mechanics work, it actually ends up having one of the lowest base attacks in the game once a board is applied to it (I think it's the only weapon that loses attack instead of gaining it), though it is still strong because of having max range + handling.
You're really not missing out on too much tbh; it does have the drawback of being 2-handed so you will almost certainly be spending 10 precious crystals to equip a shield with it, (though in post-game the shield itself is much better because of how many ways you can gain Guard so you can just run a shield with a good passive instead) and the passive is pretty useless as far as I can tell.
If my understanding is right, the passive is poorly explained (or incorrectly translated?), but actually scales the power of all possession skills to the strength of the strongest one you've learned for that element, while making them cost the same as the most expensive spell in said element. I haven't really experimented with it, but that's what I've read.
You get a two handed sword with best handling and range. I reckon one of the best weapons in the game.
Beautheshmo is correct in its scaling with the way some end game mechanics work but can still work with right KARON abilities and can be leveled to ones heart is content.
I used same weapon throughout most of post script once leveled and easily got job done.
My biggest brain farts in this game is forgetting to try items in other places. They seem so tied to the story that I never tried to use them elsewhere.
