Armor and weapons completion (spoilers)

The sage in Belkade tells you that you'll get a reward if you collect all armor and weapons.

Is this possible in the main game or is the postgame required for this?

I seem to be missing a few pieces of equipment. I'm also missing 2 Karon skills.

Are all those available before the postgame?

To get the Soul Balance armour, you have to fight all the gods for their equipment and master their equipment. You probably have one more boss to fight to get your last gems

You get recipe book from gacha.

Thanks for the answer I finally got it after I got the small metal in the arena after I beat chapter 8 boss and then I use it at gacha.

Anyone have a complete list of weapons, armor, and shields? I have no idea what I'm missing - I have every Karon except 1, and every weapon, shield, armor from every zone (including chests). I've completed the entirety of the Arena AND beaten all the Gods. I've back tracked to a couple of places (like the snow zone for the items stuck in the snow and the stone statue), but I'm at a loss. It was nice they gave us a book to track treasure chests/small metals, but they really should have given us a list of weapons + etc. Even if the wizard told us "you're missing 1 weapon, 2 shield, 1 armor" it'd give me a bit of room to figure it out lol...

It's in Elysium, in the room where you would throw a knife to finish a puzzle. In that room, on the bottom right of the screen is a projectile target.

That one is not inside the castle. On the screen before the castle gates, the one with a save point, there is a secret entrance you can take inside the "mountain" to the left of the save point. The chest is on the screen you reach from taking that entrance.

It's in the demon lord's castle, in the room where you have to insert the three orbs. At the top left of the screen is a hidden area behind a wall with a chest. Just go behind the wall and press the interact button to open it.
