proper support for 3:4 resolutions needed

I get it, it's a Switch port but WI did it perfectly fine and let me play on my sweet 3:4 CRT. WE otoh will only let my apply 16:9 resolutions which leads to a weird look on a 3:4 CRT because WE doesn't resize panels, like WI does.
When it comes to supported resolutions WI is miles ahead. Please include WI's minimal panels for 3:4 resolutions.

I'm interested too, It would be nice to have something like cave games, wich you can zoom the main panel to use over all the monitor and over 4:3 resolution.

I too wish this was possible. My preferred way to play shmups is on a 3:4 Tate CRT. The original World Ignition version works much better with a CRT, I would have hoped this version would retain the ability.
