Unable to interact with objects?

So I can pick stuff up, but when I want to use any interaction the bubble attempts to pop up but a frame after it is gone, I am unable to place my bedroll at the camp along other things I have to do. Both on gamepad and keyboard. No clue what is going on and why.

I just downloaded the game on Nintendo switch and I have the exact same problem. I don't have a solution for the moment, I hope for an update... I'm sad :(

I has the same problem when I hold the pick up button

So just press the pick up button, don't hold it

I'll check with the team on this, there's no known issues with picking up items prior to this. You should be able to just tap the button and pick it up, not hold it as the latest commenter mentions - if you could let me know if that advice helped at all that would be good to know!

I was holding the button as I thought you would drop it as you let go. This is definitely something that needs changing or at least needs to be more clear.

The only item I had trouble with were the climbing chains, which ended up requiring you to make a specific brew at the tavern first. Other than that, just tapping the use/interact button is fairly standard in most games, so I thought it seemed clear already.
