Thunder build

So I was trying a few builds and as soon as I hit a thunder + Attacks build. Everytime I power skill the game laggs tremendously and sometimes crashes.
Is there a way to go around this? I was enjoying the idea of having a full screen thunderstorm without killing the game.

PC is quite good so don't know what could be

Power skills are known for lag spike unfortunately. Until physics engine is reworked I don't think there's a way. My lighting build that didn't lag before now causes some lag as well on a normal attack. Update from yesterday seems to be causing some issue on top of it.
