Report a translation problem
What happened was I had downgraded Skyrim as a modpack I rather like is no longer up to date as Skyrim got updated, and it seems that somehow in the process of downgrading it, it messed something up with steam, as now that I've uninstalled it, they work fine. I don't know if you've done anything similar, but it might be worth looking into if you have.
Wow, that's interesting. Hmm that gives me a thought. I'm going to make a shot in the dark for the next patch.
After a game update I was able to play again yesterday and then trying to start it up this morning i'm seeing the same issue as before.
Only setting changes I made in game was windowing it and changing some screen shake and audio sliders. Don't think those are super relevant since some people seem to be crashing without even being able to play the game once.
