Sadly there are some data that shows these Streamers promotion do correlate to smaller games getting some spotlight. This game publisher and dev isn't that well known outside of it small niche and some exposure could be all it needs to grow a bit. Still waiting for the PC release of Earth Defense Force 6.
I think that using that sort of stereotype is detrimental. There are better ways to promote a good game. That is if this is actually a good game. Sending codes to serious journalists like gameranx or youtubers that are not journalists but still play a serious role in gaming like the kiseki nut and superderek RPG. Even RPG Jungle will give a way better propaganda about a game than a twitch streamer that likes to over react. I'll give you that the fact I played Hollow Knight one day was because one of those youtubers made a video saying that that game was amazing (and it is indeed!). Before that Hollow Knight was dismissed on Steam. The same with Dave the diver now. And Freedom Planet some years ago.
In other words, good games will sell without that. You just need to put it in the right hand to do the right propaganda for you.

As detrimental as these Streamer type of promotion seem to be to some, it works wonders. Among us got it 2nd life after being picked up by large streamers. Metal Gear Solid Rising got it 2nd wind from memes and streamers replaying it.
Until children are banned from the platform, the technology will aim at the most easily manipulated minds. It's not a conspiracy of this company or the streamer.... they are just reacting to what opportunities their contemporaries all react to. Think... "The Cube".
I think the best way to promote a game like this in the West is to send a few people with laptops/computers to Geek Culture Conventions and host "Unofficial" Demo Booths. Let people come up and try the game out for nothing, maybe have contests. Keep costs low, just let people have fun with it. Especially on the heels of Covid, people are STARVED for community and group fun. You could think of it as a kind of "Zombie Karaoke".
But... that all said. I already want this game. I will probably pick it up this week.
