Getting monsters from CD's?

I played this game when I was young and really enjoyed it, I'm considering buying it . I'm just wondering if you are still able to generate monsters from CD's or how they've updated that aspect of the game (many PCs don't even have dvd drives now)? I always found that part fun, never knowing what you were going to get when trying a new CD, but also being able to get the same monster reliably when trying an old one.

The mechanic of reading physical CDs has been overhauled and replaced with a new method so that the game can be played on a mobile phone, Switch, or PC without optical drives.

Instead of being limited to a small handful of games or CDs, the game now has a built in searchable database that includes Albums, Games, and individual songs. nearly 3/4 of a million entries. Most of these are duplicates or with only super minor differences, but the benefit is that you have access to everything possible in the game now, completely baked in (Still requires you to unlock monsters that are locked).

The built in Database has 664,909 total entries. These point to 1218 unique variants of the 415 total playable species. This is fully documented on LegendCup

Yeah, it used to be best part in the past.

Now it certain key word to get the monsters. Still though its a fun blast from the past with this. I just hope/wish they bring more here. Maybe possible revive with a whole new thing.

I know, asking too much, but it was my jam to the PB of life.
