In that they did redesign the interface, to allow for touch controls (useful for Mobile, or for mouse-clicks).
They did add a fast-forward option.
And fixed a few old bugs in the game.
And they added the CD database to allow access to over 600k albums.
Not sure if you'd count that as a port or not, though.
Well, no.
Sega Master Drive / Genesis Collection on Steam is just emulated Genesis games. So, no, just cause you buy it on Steam doesn't mean it's not emulated.
Now whether MR1&2 DX counts as emulated or a port is another matter.

That's not really how this works. There's loads of emulated games on steam.
And there's nothing wrong with emulation. It's usually the quicker way to get old games into the hands of people again, and it's accurate enough that most average folk will never notice anything. Emulation is great for preserving games.
I was just interested if this is a proper port or emulation, but it looks like it's actually a port.
