Mysterious gameplay
A new horror, it's just great!
It's a pity neither from the description nor from the trailer, it doesn't become clear what the type of gameplay is. I love horrors, but I don't like games with monotonous gameplay, and unfortunately, sometimes developers create only one type of gameplay - open battles or stealth, and sometimes there is neither, only puzzles. I really hope this game will have it all.

Hey there! Thanks for your post. Good point! We'll definitely release gameplay trailers and footage in the coming months though, so please stay tuned and add Charon's Staircase to your wishlist if you haven't already :)

Thanks for the answer!
I immediately added the game to the wishlist because I really liked the style and setting, and because I'm sure it won't be a kindergarten anti-horror, like Doom.)
I wish you success, and that the game really scared everyone!

So is it just puzzles? I couldn't tell from the store page trailer. Any combat?

I partially watched the video review on YouTube, and I didn't find a single scene where the player is fighting or hiding. There are no enemies or other dangers here, it's just a Quest, and another sad moment is that the game is not scary at all, so fans of real horrors have nothing to do here.(

I'm happy to hear that, will give the game a try at some point. I'm so tired of stealth in every horror game, pure horror adventure games are so rare these days (and no, I don't agree that games like The Cat Lady or Sanitarium can't be called "real horrors").

For everyone, horror is something different. For me, if the work doesn't scare, it's not horror, and in this game I didn't find a single frightening or even tense scene, but I didn't have the patience to watch the full walkthrough, maybe I missed something.
