How do some players have more than 10 gold worth of pets and upgrades in the first round?

Occasionally you could get matched up against people who are a later round than you. Otherwise its just some cheeky things they did (like boosting with otters or horses).

I don't think people are cheating simply because I haven't encountered anything ridiculous like a whole team of 50/50s or something but you definitely have to get matched on the wrong turn occasionally despite what the dev says about always being matched on the same round because I have matched with people who have 4 pets on the first round before.

I was skeptical about others who've said they have because it never seemed like there was really cheating just people much, much better than you, but four pets on the first round is either cheating/glitching or a matchmaking mistake. And the fact that sometimes you match up against people who seem hopelessly better than you makes me think again that whatever thing that is supposed to be matching people always on the same turn simply doesn't work sometimes.

This right here, is why I rarely play this game anymore. Cause I'll make the best choices I get, and rarely ever get past 2 or 3 wins before losing. Cause I always go against people who somehow has multiple level 2s and 3s with 10/14s very early on while I'm still stuck with lvl 1s, maybe a single lvl 2, and 2/2s and 4/6s. Either the luck of the draw is very bad for me 100% or some people are finding a way to cheat the system and get the exact animals they need every single round in the beginning to level up fast.

If you post a screenshot of your team and what they are losing to, we can probably point out what changes you could make.

I'm fairly certain it's just a matchmaking issue, for example I just did a round one match and went against a 3/2 ant,2/1 ant, and otter. Unless i'm mistaking, It should be 100% impossible to get that on round 1. matchmaking needs some work...

That is literally just 2 ants and an otter. Ants are 2/1 base and the otter gives one friend +1/+1 when purchased.

This game should be theoretically immune to cheating if things are developed correctly (which is great news!). In a game like this, *everything* should be verified on the server and it does appear to be that way. There isn't any reaction time or hidden info in this game which rules out a lot of cheats that are possible!

My bad makes sense now :) For some reason i wasn't thinking about the otter buff and thought they got 3 ants plus the otter lol. Regardless, I think it has been mentioned that on occasion the matchmaking pits against people ahead of you.

its just a matchmaking bug, game is full of it, i got matched 3 times against the same comp in a row, lost 2 won the last, faced a "guest" user with 3 ~14/13 units on second round and sometimes even having 30 hp my unit dies to a attacker with half that damage, maybe the poison is hidden in a graphical glitch?

I'm a bit skeptical of these claims, but would love some screenshots for proof. Some people are a ton better at this game right now than other. I also think Cupcakes and/or snails are often the cause of people thinking another person has some crazy money advantage.

There has been a confirmed bug with people matching up a against the same teams 2-3 times in a row. It's been quite persistant, but it should be fixed, and if it isn't please let us know!

As for matching up against teams on a different turn - we have heard the reports before but we've never had anyone show us a screenshot or anything so we could track it down. So if anyone experiences it then please take a screenshot and either post it here or send it to us!

One thing happened to me when playing on mobile that was odd. I got to a point where I was going to lose so in the middle of a battle replay I just abandoned and started a new game. I matched against an ant/mosquito combo which killed me in my first round and then it gave me the final match loss that I was going to have gotten before I abandoned my last run. So, maybe the "problems" with matchmaking has something to do with data from one run carrying over to the next for some glitched reason.

I just seen a guy at round 4 that had all 5 animals and over 30 dmg but under 10 hp...no idea how that happened

dont know if it was cheating or just a really good comp of buffs but it was insane considering I had a pretty good comp going.

BedroomEyes - which set of cards? Big attack could come from a tabby cat. Also could have been a lucky set of snails, or a combined fish with just a good cast.
