.42 broke raft building?

So, I built my first raft on .41, no huge issues. Some minor things like not being able to build on one side of the raft, but nothing I couldn't get past. Since the .42 update I gathered a ton of supplied as I would like to build a raft using only tires (no idea why...it's just a thing). So, I started building the raft knowing I would expand the width. I put down 3 wide to start from (I want 5 wide), but now it seems I can't add onto the sides. In fact, I only get 2 snap points, on the middle of the front and back. Anyone else having these issues?

To the DEVs, IMHO, the raft is everything in this game. You need to travel from island to island to find everything and eventually escape. If the raft build is screwed, the game is screwed.
Personally, I put everything on my raft I NEED to survive; water, bed, barrel stove, spinning wheel and then some extras, large stick holders, tool holders and weapon holders. This is your lifeline while you're out and away from your base.

Thanks for fixing the slanted rack on the raft, but it still won't hold anything. It all jumps out while traveling. Just FYI.

I agree. I left the game when I realised the raft was impossible to live on. It was my goal when I bough the game. So disappointed.

Yeah got the same problem with not being able to expand width wise on my raft too only front and back .. sounds like you have the same set up on your raft as I do .. also got three log holders on raft .. cant have enough logs in this game .. am hoping / praying dev's allow the cut down trees to regrow again over a period of time !

Do you have weight issues when you have logs on your raft?
My wife put a large storage bin on the right side of her raft. When she threw a bunch of scrap metal in it, that side dipped real bad into the water.
