Where are all the islands?

Including the start island I have only discovered 4 islands.
Do I just head out to open see in the hope of discovering the other 3?

in game settings change island graphics to ultra. now go to top on radio tower, you will see all islands.

7 islands

there are 7 islands, standing on radio mast (RM) island looking out to other island: to the left is the Lighthouse (LH) island going further left of LH is Lagoon (L) island, directly in from of RM is Air Plane crash (AC) island, to left of AC is Arch (A) island, to the front and slightly right of A is Sandbank (SB) island, and to the front and right of AC is SOS (sos) island. Submarine is on the reverse side of RM slightly right as you look out to sea.

i have found that by visiting each island every time i log in, new notes etc will spawn, if you stay on only 2 islands things will not spawn as frequently.

i have found all 6 notes and have repaired the radio mast and now have the gps which was locked in the black box at base of RM.

i have started the game 3 times and have found that the codes are different each time. you cannot unlock the black box until you have found all 6 notes.
the 6 notes are titled as follows:
1. beginning of the end
2. corporate greed
3. stranger occurrences
4. desperation & Discovery
5. chaos
6. alone.

they will only spawn when you found each one, the next then spawns.
my first was on large rocks facing LH by sunken car. if you have this one then i can tell you where to find the others, as they spawn randomly, but have a sequence for each set of numbers.

I did as suggested but no joy. Set graphics to Ultra...went to top of Radio Tower...saw only 2 other islands!!!!
I don't know if anyone can help or if this is the place to bring up my 'problem'.
About 2 weeks ago a friend lent me a beta version of castaway to try out. No blueprints available..just wanted to try it out.
Loved it! Bought the game and when I started to play I expected to be at the beginning...the plane crash. To my amazement I was at the same place in the game except now blueprints were there etc!"! Yippee I thought.
Sadly..in the Betta version I origionally played there were only 4 islands and to my dismay..the bought version I have installed has only 4 islands as well. Went to the top of the radio tower as advised...had island graphics set to ultra......no joy....
HELP!!!!!
