good dynamic, good graphics, so far the game has everything to be one of the greatest games, i havent done much so far yet, but one of the things i would probably add would be another slot for a weapon/tool, that way you could carry the axe, knife, spear, bow, and eventually the construction hammer.
although its going to look like the rest of the games you can use it to your advantage to make the skills tree possible to unlock other crafts, because that can help you to create more time to add more stuff, which in this case this time you will be using it to create more things or improve others,
about the boat motor, and specially the rafts, but 1st things first, the boat engine you could add the gasoline later on and make it possible to steer the raft, because it is cool to have that in a raft but kinda loses the sense if you cant steer it, about the steering, i know you want to make things difficult but pls not that much XD make it possible to mount on it and to steer the raft with A and D both on the normal and on the engine, that way you will make it able to for us to control the raft better
i dont remember another game going it at least any i played beside minecraft, so i believe you could make it possible to craft a boat as well and something even bigger than that to go shark fishing, something where you would have to sail and to improve your sailing skills as well and fishing skills, another thing you can probably add is fishing nets made out of seaweeds or even the ropes for exemple and another idea is to make it possible to use animal bones to craft a bone knife and fishings hooks, from there we can gather like for exemple 10 seaweeds and craft the fishing line with a long stick and we craft a fishing rod, another way to survive,
liked the idea of the turtle shell, but make it possible to craft the rain gather with it as well like the shell mounted on 4 short sticks like you show doing with the cloth i think, ofc this are things that im saying based on 3 or 4 hours of gameplay,
maybe you could try to add another thing to make bandages, because since you are using the cloths to make the sails and the steer of the rafts i think it would make sense to have a kind of leaf or a plant that you could gather to make the bandages as well, and it makes sense you are lost in an island so i guess its logical to have something like that and your game does ask for that.
