Getting stuck in Gehn's lab when not using the trap book

So I managed, not using the trap book, to wind up on the desk in Gehn 's office.

From here, nothing can be done. Any book I can see is either non-functional, or out of reach. I cannot get off the desk

ahh. Even better. After restarting, I was now outside of the cage, and no longer on the desk. i was able to move, but instantly put back into the cage as Gehn showed up.

Still ... he released me. So, back onto the script ...

EDIT: Reelased me without actually lowering the cage. Hmm.

And walking around I can lower the cage.
AHH -- less that he released me, and more that I was put back where I was when the scene started. So, I am sequence breaking

Doesnt that mean he's right outside? Sounds like a good old fistfight is in order. I wonder how well Gehn can throw down in his old age.
