school house numbers

I had been playing the '97 version before this, and I have the numbers from 1-10. For some reason the mechanism stopped working, but my question to any of you who may know, are the numbers the exact same numbers when activating the counting mechanism in the school? If so, I have the numbers, and did look at the chart next to it with the (moeity) numbering system. But i get 8,1,10,5,3, 6. and some of the totems have the same numbers when lining up the hidden lines. It was pretty amazing when I figure out that there is more the moiety glass than meets the eye. very cool what it reveals. BTW are the numbers that I wrote above even right?

I dont have the image of the chart from the school in front of me, so I'm not sure. But if you need to check, there is a guide here on steam that has a reference chart.

By the way, none of the totems should have the same number, so you might be looking at them wrong.

The old numbers are still the same.
And you could find all of the ones you need on the temple Island already.

Gehn says he can't interpret the Moiety number in his lab but what he fails to appreciate is that the position of the numbers is relative to the lines in the background. The eyes all have wooden strips as the background and the schoolhouse numbers are written on lined paper. So technically we don't need the hidden lines.

And my previous observation was nerfed in the latest patch. Now you can't go by the direction of the wooden strips in the back of the eyes. I wonder canonically how high the Moiety numbers go?

I didnt notice or take advantage of it before the nerf. What I'm really glad they also nerfed was the ability to discern the animal symbol on the side of the cliff without finding the added area of Catherine's prison island. Completely missed that on my first playthrough because I had all the animal symbols anyway.....
