HDR no effetct?

Is it me or HDR enabled has no effect ingame ? Everything looks so bright especially in caves. I noticed it while playing on pc vs VR, on PC HDR had literally zero effect.

All of Cyan's recent games have had wonky HDR. I think this game is so-so compared to previously that were always super bright. But I haven't tried it on PC yet, only Mac OS. I do notice a bit of difference, but for example when walking around in the center of a room the corner is bright, but if I go near the corner it's darker... like it tries to balance the image and over brightens everything.

I've also noticed HDR ruins the intro movie. The background is blotchy and overbrightened... but there's literally zero settings once HDR is on to adjust it.

I trust you but I literally don't see anything. Changed. Checked. Nothing. Hdr monitor here and not the first game at all I play...

Can be windows setting maybe.

I’ve also noticed HDR seems to be washed out with a higher contrast when enabled. I kept disabling and enabling it and confirmed colors seem more vivid with it disabled. It’s almost like Off and On are switched. I always have HDR enabled in Windows so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. But I’ve kept the in game HDR off and it just looks better.
