Missing button marble puzzle?
So, I'm stuck on the fire marble puzzle.

I am confident that my colors and alignment are correct.

Pretty sure my sliders are set to the correct numbers.

In the original game, there was a button above the slider that lowered the plate for you to test your answer. In this version, there is a spot that looks like it should have a button, but there is nothing there.

Am I missing a button? Or will it appear when I get the answer correct?

It will appear when you get it right.

Don't feel bad, I worked out like 90% of the puzzle, but had to get help for a couple aspects to it, I had for example (numbers are randomised so not a spoiler hopefully) assumed that I got the last number right, thinking it was a 21, it seemed logical to me, the actual answer is imho way less logical, it was a 16, 16 should be the symbol for 10 and the one for 6, but whatevs...

Then there was the optimal strike force base value stuff, simple now that I know, but I didn't join the dots...shame, cos I've worked everything else out, but I was getting too frustrated, it is what it is...

If it was a base 10 system, but it's not. It's base 5+25. In our number system, that would be like trying to write the number 4 over the top of the number 5 to get 9, which is not how we do it. ( Obviously not exact, because the system is quite different from ours being that it has 2 bases, but at no point do you ever see 3 numbers stacked on top of each other. That would break the pattern, and would likely cause conflicts depending on how you did it. )

OK I understand, really glad we don't use that system in real life...

Well, if we used it in real life, it would seem natural and simple to you, and our current system would be the weird one.

For example, the D'Ni only need 5 symbols, instead of 10. Learning the other 5 symbols is replaced with learning a simple rule, that every set of 5 starts with a 90 degree rotated starting number. Plus, their numbers are way smaller than ours. They only need 1 digit to count to 25, 2 gets you all the way to 624, 3 gets you to 15,648 etc. It's actually pretty efficient compared to ours.

One big downside to it however is it takes more effort to be able to count in base 25 using your hands. Well, the counting up is pretty easy, but the "holding" a number is harder. You count joints, instead of entire fingers, but it's messy trying to say hold up the 4th joint of your ring finger.

I guess it could be worse, it could be the Moiety numbering system, that I even less so understand, it also didn't seem logical to me!
Is now the right time to tell you that maths was my weakest subject by far and I hate it! But I appreciate you taking the time to explain it to a dunce like me!

I had even written the - and + keys down and the base value, but didn't join the dots for whatever reason (needed a rest I think...) The rest of the puzzles were well within my ability to solve without help though. Just finished the game actually, want more!
