I need help with the Raising of The Stones

I have the correct animals in the correct order. I will list them starting from the first to the last

I know this is correct.

However,this is not opening the area that is supposed to open in this room. Please help me to understand why

Sounds like you don't have them in the correct order then. If you post what you got for the associated numbers, we should be able to work out the problem.

What I am gathering is that this puzzle appears to be random - (different for every player) Is this correct or not?

If it IS correct how and where are the players getting the correct order for this animal puzzle?

Yes, it's randomized. Not sure how much of a hint / full explanation to give here, but let's start with: Try searching around where you learned each animal.

How did you work out the order for your animal order, as someone else's order may not work for you ?

Is there any way that a player (me) can be able to access their own individualised order of the animal puzzle without having to go to every different island and I'm assuming take pictures of various stuff? I dont even know what to do.

No, basically everything you need is on Jungle Island. There's 1 more on Prison Island, and 1 on Boiler Island but you can guess the last once you have all but 1. If you're following a guide, then they should have explained exactly how to get the solution.

Full spoiler:
First, you need the imaging lens. This is on jungle island, down at the beach with the sunners. It's on the cliff to the left of the sunners, sparkling in the sun.

Press R to pull it out.

Now, go around to each frog totem, and while looking at the rotating eye piece, line up the lines. Note the symbols as they now appear. These are the Rivenese numbers learned in the school, and tell you the correct order. Also look around with the eye piece for each animal that it corresponds to. The animals are set, it's only the number that changes.

The frogs are where you view each animal:
1: Near the start of jungle, the pond in the cave.
Animal: Use the lever on the water pipe to stop the water draining into the pond. Now that the pond is clear, the reflection shows the animal. I forget which it was.
2: Near the minecart
Animal: Butterflies before the minecart form the shape of the Frog.
3: Inside the living forest, through the blue mushroom path, eventually circles back to a hidden area. ( This I believe is the one missing its eye piece. )
Animal: Across the area on the "trees" and some other stuff. I forgot which animal again.
4: The tree behind the village.
Animal: Top of village at the watertank, Slide out the funnel, tilt the frog thing to pour water for the tree. Have your lens out the whole time, and wait for all of the leaves to turn white. It's the shape of the Beetle.
5: Under the water, through the steam passage opened after closing the chimney.
Animal: Look up through the chimney. I forgot this one too.
6: Prison Island, off the main path where the railing is broken.
Animal: Nearest the beach there is 1 root by itself coming down, with 2 daggers in it. Click this part of the root to rotate it down. It's a telescope. Look through the eyepiece to see the cliffs of Jungle, where you can see the paint. This is the Sunfish.

Missing eyepiece: Gehns lab on boiler has the eyepiece.

The eyepiece symbols are the order.
1 is a single triangle in the top right
2 is a single triangle at the bottom
3 is a single triangle top left.
4 is 2 triangles in the inner area, like 1 and 2.
5 is 2 triangles, like 2+3.
6 is 2 triangles, like 3+1.

That should be all you need for this.

Do be aware, a number of other puzzles are also randomized.

I see 6 animals are being called for, originally it was 5. When I pull the 6th it resets the puzzle, am I really looking for 6?

Wow I was so sure the one at the top of the water tower was the handle you used to water the tree, which is the exact shape of one of the other animal symbols (the top-view frog thing). That red herring made me miss that one, especially since I didn't expect a visible change to happen immediately from watering a plant (which I did, just not long enough). This is Riven, not Quern :(
