Does this game allow key rebinding?

I saw a negative review mentioning that you're forced to use default WASD layout and aren't given any option to remap the keys. Can anyone confirm whether this is true?

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about,
but I'm using arrow keys in the game since the start and I didn't have to do anything for it, arrow keys work as the default.
I haven't tried WASD.

French keyboard here, AZERTY one, can't use WASD at all without keybinding, and arrows are not confortable on the right side of the keyboard. Will buy if they implement it. It's kind of mandatory usually, I'm surprised they don't manage that. And no, I don't want to struggle with any third party software.

You can activate english QWERTY keyboard in Windows settings and switch with ALT+SHIFT.
(that’s what I do, I have a BÉPO keyboard)

Yes, this needs to be added (key rebinding) but I played at times with the arrow keys and it turns out by default they work exactly the same as wasd. Or they did for me anyway.
Which may be worth trying in addition to everything else people have posted here.

AHK will never be a replacement for actual remapping due to it lagging and bugging out.
I love Cyan dearly, but not being able to rebind keys in 2024 is ridiculous.

I agree that it's ridiculous for any game not to gave this basic accessibility feature.

But I've used AHK for lots of action games, including precision platformers, and never noticed any lagging. Not saying you didn't have problems, but just wanting people to give it a try rather than give up on a game they'd like to play. AHK has worked really well for me and made me able to enjoy lots if games I'd have missed without it.

Well! You don't need to lisen if you dosen't whant to do. I'm only think that the developers are presenting the game in the best ways that they whant to / can. Yes! Their are problems whit the game. They have talk about it. But this feature is not a big thing - as I have been playing games on Pc that was in black and white. Yes! Their was bo problem back then whit that or to playing the fame whit ony foxed controls. And if you think that I'm insulting and toxic. Then so is your view of this words very diffrent from my view (it is ok). As I'm are beeing quite frendly.

I agree with you on this as from where I am standing the game is a wonderful remake and interpretation of Riven even without the ability to rebind keys. I get where they're coming from it would be nice, but I can get along well without it. To each their own I guess.

Some people can't play with WASD because they are left handed or have some other sort of accessibility issue. It's silly that in 2024 the devs don't give an option to rebind the keys.

Since Firmament, published two years ago, has still not keybinding options, I don't hope that Cyan will implement it in this game...

No money to Cyan from me once again...
