Braking?
Something is seriously whack about the braking again at release. I understand the idea of adding the concept of the bike not wanting to lean during braking but this feels very weird. There is absolutely no margin for trail braking anymore. Either the you release the braking before the corner or else you won`t steer in but you`ll overshoot anyway, or you try to trailbrake and the bike just doesn`t want to lean and overshoot aswell. The idea is cool, but as any screwed up Milestone release it obviously needs tweaking as there is now no in between without driving like a snail.

Everything is off and i`m talking about default setups. There is just no sweet spot to lean the bike in it seems. It just feels off, it`s nearly impossible to start leaning with even 10% brake applied when i try to trail brake. I`m no slouch in the previous games but this just feels weird, no feeling or connection to the brakes at all...

everyone complained about braking in the preview builds so its clear the final release has still not be fixed

What were the complaints, im curious?
kensai606 Apr 21, 2022 @ 7:20am
All of the pre release complaints were understeer and the bike sitting up.
I know, really short answer.

But it IS a milestone game on release day. Just exactly what were you expecting?

Most true words ever spoken.

It seems like they take one step forward and two steps back with every release and patch. I don`t know what i was expecting...i just keep falling for it...

Ok, weird. For some reason it seems fine now, either i had to get used to something new or something controller/calibration related was screwed up.

Now i find it much more realistic than 21 was...

But in good Milestone fashion they`ll probably patch it out next week again....

I dont find the braking to be an issue, fiddle with the assist setting, there quite a few I find the less assists you have on braking and turning the more responsive the bike is and more nimble
JamoZ Apr 21, 2022 @ 11:24am
I like it the way they are right now without assists, you can feel the weight of the bike, the inertia of the discs/wheels and the biting point of the front brake.

There must have been something wrong previously because without me changing anything it suddenly feels like a completely different game than this afternoon....

I can't ride motogp 21 skills in motogp 22,evey corner before the break just overshoot,Maybe in real life motorcycles need to be handled like this, but this game.
LUCIFER Apr 22, 2022 @ 8:53am
yeah breaking is so ridiculous, also for steering when entering the corner. its like robot who wants to make sudden turn. they need to fix that

I wish they made some sort of Arcade mode, for those of us that don't like the sim-like controls.
