Win against the band member with knife game

Hello there! I am stuck on this part:

I need to win against the band member with the "knife game". I've buttered the knife but he still wins. How do I cheat?

Yup, I have it. Must have been really tired , didn't think about that.

Even after reading this I have no idea what the solution is. I put moisturizer on the knife and it won't let me put butter on it. I don't know how you would moisturize your own hands? I still lose with the moisturized knife

Looked it up... you have to specifically use the cream on the butter and then the combination on the knife. Really don't know why you can't do it one at a time. Makes no sense to let you moisturize the knife (and not butter the knife after) if you can do this. Made it way unnecessarily confusing for a puzzle that at its core should not be very complicated

I think we'll look into making this a little clearer in a future update. We agree that it makes sense to be able to apply the correct items in a few different ways, so it can be confusing if you do it out of order and the game doesn't respond to that - this is all good feedback!

+1 on this. Was the only thing I had to consult the web for, which always feels bad. At least a custom line as a hint when trying to apply them one by one would be nice.
