My 50+ hour Game just got deleted (Fixed)

I just saves my game in one of my safe houses, wanting to restart my game to fix a bug. once restarted i went to load game and my save was gone. i have tons of storage on my computer and no errors or corrupted files on the game. Never installed any mods for this game. I'm pissed beyond belief. Devs Fix some damn glitches Please for the love of god. You made a great game with more bugs then a horses behind in the middle of July.

Have you checked in Appdata\Local folder? It's possible that the save files are still there but for some reason game doesn't see them. Maybe steam cloud have messed them up after your restarting of the game. After 50+ hours there should be many backup days even if the main save file is corrupted.

did you quit and quickly restart. this has happened to me and so i quit to mm and reload the save. for me its just a loading bug that sometimes doesn't read the save

I Just lost my saved game too and im kinda pissed but you said you quit to mm, what is mm ? and aslo where do you reload the save

main menu then go to continue to load the latest save or under your cartel theres an option to load the previous save if you have override the save from the autosave

they got it sorted, but it wasnt even showing up on the list to interact with so that wasnt possible

Game saves disappeared from the load game UI (Continue UI):
(This is a quick DIY hotfix for the issue where your cartel files are available in the AppData location but you still don't see the cartel available in the load game UI)

1. Create a backup of your cartel folder (you can put the backup on your desktop for example) (Folder location: C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\DrugDealerSimulator2\Saved\SaveGames\Cartels) - basically copy to the desktop the entire cartel folder that doesn't show up in the game.

2. Delete it from AppData. - delete the folder you just copied from the game files alltogether (delete it from here: C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\DrugDealerSimulator2\Saved\SaveGames\Cartels), but keep the backup on the desktop.

3. Create a new cartel with the same exact name - the name has to be exactly the same, no differences in letters, spaces etc.

4. Alt + F4 out of the character selection menu - just to speed the process up.

5. Open the newly created cartel folder in the AppData - go to your game files again: C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\DrugDealerSimulator2\Saved\SaveGames\Cartels, and open the folder for the cartel you just created.

6. Paste the backup files into that folder (READ ALL BEFORE DOING) - paste all of the backup files from the backup folder to the newly created folder (paste all files, not the folder itself).

Important note: When on step 6, if you are asked if you want to overwrite CartelDefaults.sav file (that happens if your backup cartel folder has this file), don't do it - you do not want to paste the backup CartelDefaults.sav file as it is the file that bugs the save, you want to keep the new version of it.

7. Load your cartel - if normal load doesn't work, select one of the backup save files from the drop down menu.

If the solution doesn't work for you, please read it one more time and try following it step by step once again (you could also turn off steam cloud for DDS2 just for the time being).
