I'm having a lot of fun playing and don't seem to be running into these game-breaking bugs mentioned. Things improved over DDS1 for me would be the ability to hire other staff than just dealers, which allow you to automate dealer collection and distribution, or buff your hideout's drug production ability. The combat is pretty basic but it is fun to be able to fight your way out of a bad situation.
You can fast travel around points on the map using a car, or freely travel the entire map with a boat, using docks to get back to land.
I'm currently playing it and just got to Pedro Alvarez. Everything you said I've also encountered so idk what that guy is talking about. It felt weird moving around at first compared to DDS1, but you get the hang of it and adapt this games changes. I really love the whole dealer collection system & you can do more with your "employees" compared to the last game when it comes to distributing too.
There are some bugs here and there I'll admit, but nothing ground breaking where it's gonna totally ruin the drug dealing experience. They'll have to get to that in the next update (if they're still gonna update this game) and hopefully make necessary improvements where it's needed :)
I can see what they were going with this game to be the prequel to the first game, trying to tie in Eddie’s past to link up with the story. So far I don’t see how the story correlates to Eddie, asides from meeting a couple people you “know” already.
Asides from that, it’s ok with some of the new additions they made to the game like the combat system, it may not be guns but it’s still something for what the devs are trying to go for. If they wanna consider this a full game, they better start working on improving some of the mechanics & things you can do in this game. There’s potential just it’s not there yet
agreed. with dds1 i played and took breaks checked in each major update. played a bit..and eventually it became what it is today...i have faith 2 will do the same...lots of polish and updates and it will be pretty amazing
Couldn’t agree more, I know they’re actually paying attention to this game compared to the first one since this is their baby now. I have faith they will eventually nail it eventually, but for now we just gotta keep wheeling n dealing till we get to the top
