Best just accept that and use all acid you can and then carry on with acetone.
Many substances for "best" recipes are always in short supply, so you need to accept some inefficiency to keep production rolling. Ultimately your profit margin is so high it does not matter.
Up until the ~end-game I thought it would become more available, but I think it's going to be a lot easier to just deal with a lower yield and a bit more waste to just get them all going without a ton of waiting and shopping (just realized earlier that trash bags of dropped items eventually disappear, thankfully, helps with substance storage space mgmt).
I wish we also had access to more Potassium Hydroxide, lol.
edit: making waaay too much dope, but it's entertaining building the big pretty labs. could do with some more lighting effects and animations from\on equipment. I like the ambiance they provide as they are, but more would better, could balance lab coverage (instead of depending solely on roof & stand lamps which ♥♥♥♥ up the color scheme and whatnot)
dunno. fun game.
