you can sacrifice engine cooling and the cornering downforce. <-- these two not suggested
use the sliders when designing car parts to optimize for mid corner and top speed / acceleration
if you hover over a new design ,chassis, wings, etc it will highlight in blue on the right side wich stats that specific part can increase.
afterwards use the sliders to get the desired maximum outcome.
(you will usualy need to make sacrifices in one section to gain a more powerfull outcome in another one)
If parts are designed repeadetly in a season they get better each time, use maximum hours on one part to get a bigger improvement.
don´t forget to also use the same tactic when designing parts for the next season to give you a big boost
you design only the suspension and chassis but do not spend any CFD or wind tunnel hours.
depends on what level your design centre is, leave 6 engineer left when research for next season car unlocked at april. Spend all the testing hours on the improvement of next season car.
You should choose rushed for both design and research.
Me personally use 3 engineer to design a new chassis, every 17 days I get a chassis slightly better the previous one designed.
And then I spend all the test hours on the research mastering slow and mid speed corner first.
Easy w.
ehm your CFD and wind tunnel hours reset every 60 days so its pointless waiting until april to use them. You want to spread your cfd, tunnel hourse with the amount of design/research you can do within the art testing periods. Same with the amount of engineers you use. That is usally 3 design/research you do to make max use of the cfd/tunnel hours in the beginning.
Yep so I spend all the hours that I have before research unlock in the wings, sidepod and underfloor, then after research is unlocked, I only design suspension and chassis.
While true, the game can punish you for using "too much" CFD and wind tunnel hours by stalling development. Essentially you can make a part with a lot of CFD/Tunnel time and not be able to make a new one that is better, until after you make a few "bad" ones to catch up your baseline stats. This can effectively put your development back several months.
Yea mate, but that's why i said you should spread them out logically considering the amount of designs/research you can do within the periods.
I've had the fastest straight line car using a Renault engine so drag reduction can get you faster then a Red Bull.
