Negative Performance Attributes for a New Design

Hi,
I am continuously designing and upgrading new parts. However, I am in Season 24 and when I decide to design a new rear wing or an underfloor, certain attributes are now showing a red, i.e. reduced values than the current part. Shouldn't the new designs be upgrading rather than downgrading from the current version. If this is the case, then I don't think designing new parts are relevant and thus the car will not improve going forward

I think you'll find he means Season 2024. Not he's pld through until 2046.
