Like they said part way in the lock up, "On second thought I want a drink, guess I will crash so i can stop by the pit."
Not only was it quite confusing to have those crash-scenes without a pre-warning and no chance to cancel them, to see several of them in a row is even more confusing, and getting a penalty for being hit by others is just strange.
The whole behavior there, as well as the number of incidents in some races by one driver, needs some tweaking. It may be funny sometimes, but if you have good drivers out there who spins 4 to 5 times on a single race even when in slow pace just dont feels right.
I can understand that you end up with a guaranteed spin if you go max-wear on your tires all the time, even if I dont think that should be a "mus", what the heck are you hiring the best drivers for?
Ehh. I play tons of manager games and its not normal. I haven't seen my player getting a red card for being fouled in Football manager to make a comparison.
