My Cars constantly Crashing in FP1, FP2, FP3.
My Second Season with Mclaren. 4th in the Constructors . At race 18, i've been trying to play today and both my drivers crashed into barriers twice each in FP1, breaking front wing both times. One car had to retire. Then in FP2 they crashed again more broken wings and the other car having to retire. With each retirement broken chassis as well.

Then once more in FP3 and i had more then 95% confidence in the set up. Both of them had loads of life in their tyres so i have no idea why they crashed so many times.

Then into the next race the exact same thing, Driver crashed twice in FP1, wreaking 2 more front wings and a chassis.

I don't know if there's been an update but this makes the game unplayable, losing 5 front wings and 3 chassis in free practice is insane, plus the lost time to be able to run the car.

Never had this many crashes before.

Can someone please look at this!

post your drivers stats. that would be interesting. cause im rarely crashing at all looking back at a whole season, while driving in mode 5 all the time.

I have a conspiracy theory. Cursed parts.
I didn't have any crashes until I got my Front Wing 3. After I installed that wing I crash every race weekend both in practice and in race.
My drivers arnt good but they managed to go through the first 14 races without crashing. Then I got my fw3 installed and they suddenly crash all the time. I have finished once with one driver in the 6 races after i got that wing.

Or maybe my car has finally gotten too fast for them to handle after upgrades.

There haven't been any updates recently (supposed to be one next week).

What pace/fuel settings are you using for practice? Can't prove it, but higher settings feel more prone to accidents (and also as far as I can tell are unnecessary for practice - time on track appears to matter, actual speed/laps does not).

Are you using yellow or lower status powertrain parts? Broken parts also seem to increase incident chance.

Do you have avoid kerbs on? If so, turn it off before you pit, it can sometimes lead to crashes exiting the pit lane.

And what are your drivers' Control stat? Higher is better, obviously.

Or, could be just a sudden spate of gremlins! :)

Use for fp-Session the lowest driving style, times are low, but the chance of crashing is reduced. In my Second Seasion i never crashed in fp-sessions. Why risking destroying parts, engine, gearbox and ers? Works for me fine.

In my experience running a conserve pace setting (gives cold tyres) makes them crash. I have completely stopped using conserve in practice. they always crash when I use that over many laps. Guess its coz you don't get the tyres temp up.

I use light, conserve, harvest in practice.
If I run conserve, conserve, harvest they will crash.

that because of stats of your drivers. Accuracy and control has to be over 90 if you want to reduce damages. I hope with the next patch they balance this random events

I had the same problem with Aston Martin. At the second half of the season i had 10 crashes with total damage an several driver mistakes in the races. Setup always over 90% and always 100 track knowlege.

It's all crap about stats and temperatures. It's hard coded. I started the same practice 4 times and spun out 4 times on the same lap. Then I went in and sent out only one driver and hey presto, he didn't crash, because he wasn't driving. Dumb.
This game does not use the Data it already has, despite all the claims that it does, Tyre temperature does not matter often enough for it to be considered, neither does brake temps. So what causes it? The programming.
