AI absolutely incapable of preparing for rain on track

In my experience in 3 of my races with rain, the AI never seem to prepare their strategy around rain. Every time I see lots of them pitting to hard only 2 laps before 100% rain and none of them pitting before 1mm rain. They often pit to inters when it clearly will rain lots for a long time.
In the end I end up often gaining up to 8 positions based purely on proper pit timing and right tyre choice. This seems too stupid for professional F1 crews to ♥♥♥♥ up the way they are doing. Please patch this ASAP.

Agree. While there should be room for error for AI, it shouldn’t be way too easy.

I started writing this post as my Mick Schumacher is in 3rd place in front of Verstappen 33 laps into the race, after 3 laps with rain.
Even now there are still people in pits changing from their softs. This is crazy dumb

Appears the game needs a lot of work. $50 a heavy ask for what seems to have so many issues. Glad I waited, as appears it's extremely over priced.

This hasn't been my experience at all. In both races that I've had rain, the AI did a good job with rain strategy. Even when I had a wet race in Miami, and the track was drying for the last few laps, none of the front-running drivers were stupid enough to pit for inters, which would have been the right tyre, but you wouldn't have made up the ground you lost in time. Only a couple pitted for inters from the back of the field, and one even made up a place (passed a driver on wets he had been behind) for doing so.

Im currently in Monaco with 1.55mm rain and all AI immediately changed into Intermediates as soon as it started raining.

Yes it's ok, it's obviously a bug on the anticipation.

Under a heavy rain of 8 mm we should see the intervention of the safety car.
See the red flag as in real life.
